Just to note that Sgt. Robert F. Arnold, s/n 17136359, was a member of the 783rd Bomb Squadron. Since he was listed as a tail gunner in the earlier incident involving 41-28977 on September 13,1944, it is quite conceivable that he was the tail gunner and the single survivor of Capt. Tennille's crew on January 20, 1945. I'm trying to locate him postwar but have not been able to do so. From enlistment records, he was born in 1925 and was from Missouri
