Soviet Claims 16 Dec 42

Has anyone any note or idea of who might have damaged/forced down a He 111 of III/KG 53 20 km NW Welikiye Luki at 1020 hrs on 16 Dec 42?

The only claim against He-111 on that day was reported by Kapitan Nepobedimtsev and Sergant Ivan'kovich in pair. 875 IAP (future 66 GIAP). Area is given as North of Velikije Luki. No time of claim reported.

Chris,

Plus several claims against Ju-88s, that might be misidentified with He-111...As far as I remember also KG4 lost two planes to flak and no losses for Ju-88s in the area of Velikije Luki occured on that date.

Thanks Nikita. The NVM for the wounded crews was most specific in that it was due to fighter attack
