Unidentified German a/c 2nd March 1944
Hi guys,
I’m trying to identify a German aircraft. The data I got comes from a Dutch police report. I’ll try to translate as best as I can: On the 2nd March 1944 at 05.30 hrs in the vicinity of Zijldijk, municipality ‘t Zandt a German military aircraft crashed on farmland. The aircraft probably flew in a northerly direction and is believed to have been a twin engine aircraft. No trace of the crew was found, neither any parachutes. It is therefore believed that the crew escaped the aircraft savely. Zijldijk and t’Zandt are nowadays part of municipality Loppersum province of Groningen Zijldijk can be found at 53.3932 6.7569 Can anyone help to identify this a/c and/or crew Thanks in advance
