Operations of A/C ACH Sharp with 8th Air Force
Hello,
Air Commodore Sharp did three operations on B17 as Air Gunner in 1943 as liaison Officer with 8th Air Force. The first was on 14 July 1943 , I have only few details, I believe he went to Hannover and one other was to Villacoublay. I would like to discover in what crew he flew for these three ops. I know he acted as waist gunner, on 14 July 1943 his aircraft was "attacked viciously and persistently by numerous ennemy fighter planes; displaying great courage and gallantry, A/C Sharp manned his guns and assisted in driving off repeated attacks of hostile planes". Could you help to find more on these operations ?? Thank you, Alain. |
