german bomber lost on 26 fevruary 44 in Belgium
Hi,
I just discovered a paper 26 feb 44 dated wich attest an emergency/belly landing of a german plane in a field near Mons - Binche ( Belgium ). The aircraft damaged the plantations over a width of 25 metres and a length of 80 metres. Then I guess it must have been a bomber ( He111 ? ) and not a fighter. Does anyone have any idea of the identity/unit of this plane ? Thanks. |

Hi,
Is 26/02/1944 the date of the crash or the date of the paper ? Best regards Luc |

Hi Luc,
It's the date of the paper, wrote by a bergungskommando's member. The owner of the fied gave also this date but in 1956. Then I took this date but a mistake of the owner after this all this time is also possible. I hope that 'll can help. Thanks. |
