16 Squadron (Lysander) losses, May 1940

The highly unreliable source F.K. Mason 'The Westland Lysander', Profile Publications, ca. 1966 states that 'several Lysanders [of 16 Squadron] were destroyed on the ground when refuelling.' According to Mason this must have happened somewhere between 10/05/1940 and the loss of Lysander L4796 on 17/05/1940.

Is there any other source that confirms these supposed losses? If so, what were the serials of these planes?

Cheers,

Bart

Hello Mick,

When trying to visit your site, I noticed that the http-address you've put under the banner is wrong: now it is hrrp://www.airrecce.co.uk/ , which should be http://www.airrecce.co.uk/

The PRU-page on my site will be updated in the coming weeks - don't know yet what interesting material will pop up then.

Cheers,

Bart
