Re: Tom Dalton Morgan
Hi all,
I cannot find any mention in his Bio claiming that he flew for several months with the 4th Fighter Group and there are no mentions of claims whilst he flew with them. The BBM website states that he was awarded the DSO (gazetted 25th May 1943) and then went on attachment to the US 4th Fighter Group, to advise on long-range bomber-escort operations. It makes no mention of any flights or claims during that period. I know that the person that collates info for that site knew Tom Dalton Morgan well and would have included it if he was aware. Re: Tom Dalton Morgan
Hi,
Well it looks like another of those occasions when someone who wrote the obit for TDM was not really all that familiar with the subject and misread something who knows! Thanks for everyone's input Bruce Lander |

Re: Tom Dalton Morgan
Hi Bruce,
It's not just the obit people. The Association was contacted, some years back now, by someone writing a book on TDM looking for corroboration of his 4th service. Not sure where the original info came from, but none of the details provided to us made any sense.
