Luftwaffe claims on 16.05.40

Hi,

I wonder if there is somebody who could help me with following German claims:
- 16.05.40 8/JG26 Bruegelmann Mureaux Loewen-Wavre at 13.45
- 16.05.40 stab/JG27 Galland Spitfire Seclin at 19.30
- 16.05.40 1/JG76 Hauer Potez 63 ? at 11.47
I`m looking for details (units, pilots, serials) of their victims.

TIA.

Regards

Robert

Nothing?

Or it`s a overclaiming?

Your Potez is probably P63/11 n° 619 (GAO510) shoot down à 10.15 (french hour) by 3 Bf109 at Autruche, near Vouziers (Ardennes). Crew was Lt Martin and Sgt-Chief Guesnel, both safe and the gunner, Corporal-Chief Molinier, slighly wounded.

Hi ,

Re: Galland and you say Spitfire claim.

From 12 days in may

It has "Hptm Adolf Galland of Stab/JG27 reported downing a Hurricane one mile south of Lille at 18.30, but since Sgt Wilkinson ( L1899 ) reported that he had seen the Bf110 shoot down Sqn Ldr Gifford's Hurricane ( P2825 ), it would seem that the latter had fallen to the Bf110 crew and that Galland had attacked Wilkinson's Hurricane"
( Re:L1899, this Hurricane was lost the next day [17th] crash landed at Vittry with Sgt P. Hillwood burned.)

Where did you gwt the Spitfire claim details from ?

Alex

Hi Alex,

from Prien Jagdfliegerverbaende Teil 3. In which RAF squadron was Wilkinson?
I assume that this claim is overclaiming? Did Galland hit this Hurricane?

Regards

Robert
