Uffz. Kurt Meeder, 7./JG 53

Hello gentlemen!

I´m looking for an official evidence that Kurt Meeder died on 14.04.1945
in a hospital because of his wounds that he suffered on 16.03.1945 during
an aerial combat with P-51 near Frankfurt/Main. Kurt Meeder is buried on
a cemetery near Biberach.
On 14.04.1945 a Bf 109 crashed near Biberach, the pilor was killed. Local
sources suggests that this was the crash side of Uffz. Kurt Meeder.
But i doubt this! On 14.04.1945 a Bf 109 from 14./JG 53 got lost in that
area, too. I´m sure this must be the crash side of FhjUffz. Hubert von
Eschwege.

Thank you in advance!

Herzliche Grüsse aus Oberschwaben,

Wolfgang

Hello Hans!

Is this the book?
Stadt im Inferno-Bruchsal im Luftkrieg 1939-1945 by Hubert Bläsi?

Stig Jarlevik will become famous soon enough
Re: Uffz. Kurt Meeder, 7./JG 53

Since none of the books mentioned are anywhere near any official verification, I can then state that Dr Prien (Jochen to most of us... ) verifies all that in his JG 53 books

Not sure how close Jochen (with friends) comes to being official, but most of us, I guess, feel he is pretty close....

Cheers
Stig

Re: Uffz. Kurt Meeder, 7./JG 53

Hello Stig,
Hello Alain!

Thank you for your reply!
For sure Dr. Prien was my first choice, too.

@Alain57:You must own a newer edition of Dr. Priens book.
My entry for location of loss from Hubertus: unknown place.
No entry for the loss of Kurt Meeder on 14.04.1945
I´m a little bit confused! Did Kurt Meeder flew again after his injury from 16.03.1945?
Thank you for this addition!!

Herzliche Grüsse aus Oberschwaben,

Wolfgang
