Help : British attacks on Jonsvatnet Norway April 1940

Hi!

Searching information regarding 2 attacks on Jonsvatnet April 1940.

One attack was on the night Thuersday 23.April when 2 Whitleys tried to bomb the air strip the germans have made on the frozen lake. The attack was called of because of bad weather.
Is there any information about what unit did the attack, reports, and airvraft code and crew names ?

The other attack was on 25.April and was sorted out with two Skuas. Have read that they found to aircraft on the ice that they fired upon.
Any info regarding unit, plane codes, crew or is there any reports of the attack ?

Also info regarding other attacks if there were is welcome.

Thanks in advance.

John Fredrik

John Frederik,

Perhaps this link is useful for the Skua involvement: http://www.naval-history.net/xDKWW2-4004-13APR04.htm

Scroll down to Tuesday 23 April where you can read about HMS Ark Royal and HMS Glorious launching Skuas on 25 April 1940 as well.

Regards,

Leendert
