Loss of Bf 110. 15.10.40
Gentlemen,
Can anybody give me information on Bf 110 Wknr 3812, coded A2+BL. A2 being the code of ZG2. This a/c crashed on 15.10.40 belonging to 4/NJG2, according Chronik by Heinz Rökker. Was this a/c in use with NJG2 without changing the code to R4? Looking forward to your answer(s), paul |

Re: Loss of Bf 110. 15.10.40
Paul,
We carry this in the EoE Luft Loss DB as: * 15 October 1940: 4./NJG2 Messerschmitt Bf110D-3 (3812). Crashed and burned out at Sprang-Capelle 10.40 p.m. FF ( ) Ernst Schulz baled out landing near Oude-Straat at Sprang with broken left arm, gunner baled out unhurt landing at Waalwijk. Aircraft A2+BL100% write-off. We are still looking for the rank of the pilot, and the name of the gunner who bailed out. The coding indicates to me an a/c newly transferred from 6./ZG2 to 4./NJG2, that has not yet had its coding changed. Can anyone help with the name and rank we're looking for? Regards, Larry Hickey EoE Project Coordinator |
