Re: BMW 801 model number?

304566 is quoted as a D-2, prior we found Wn with only 5 digits, we could guess that 304/305/306 series are 1942/1943 production

Re: BMW 801 model number?

Greetings all,

Interesting postings. I am attaching a small list from my database file that includes BMW 801s from the 304 XXX WNr. series. Interestingly, most are listed as D-2s, save 304 204 (a test engine from Travemünde) listed as a D-II, and 304 301 (from a crashed Do 217) listed as an MA-2. Kutscha’s WNr. 304068 is the lowest number I have seen for the series (the above-mentioned 304 204 was the lowest in my files).
