Your opinion on a wreck

Hello,

For several months I am looking for a wreck of a Me 109 G6. I think I've located it. I started digging and found various pieces of metal without form. I also found an almost intact metal plate that I present photographs. It is a quadrilateral of about 90 cm long, 40 cm for the longest side and 35 cm for the smallest. What do you think ?
I will present to you the entire records and files and I will give all parts safe from a museum that will receive them. Thank you for your advice and help.

Re: Your opinion on a wreck

Hello,

Part pretty intact for a crash. Rib (fuselage skin?) appears sawn. There are more '109 specialists' here, than letters in my sentence, to help you.
We are waiting your inputs.

Best regards

Re: Your opinion on a wreck

Were all the rivets removed when you found it?

Upper wing plate possibly?

Re: Your opinion on a wreck

My English is not very good and I misspoke. I found small pieces of metal in the ground. They are not identifiable, and I do not know if they are related to the plane. Also I investigate the farms around and I found descendants of witnesses with larger parts of the plane. Among other things it is the metal plate that I have submitted to you. The rivets were missing and the grandfather of the owner had cut the plane. I also found a wheel, I'll show you the picture as soon as I returned home.

Re: Your opinion on a wreck

It looks like the rivets have been drilled off each by each to gain a sheet of aluminum. The stiffening ribs look familiar to me. The fence around a schoolfriend's home were made of such profiles 45 years ago. His family factory was incorporated in the Messerschmitt dispersed production - in this case for Bf 109 wings.

Regards

Fran
