Uffz.Werner Migge (JG54)and Werner Migge(ZG1)
Hi "guys"
In my notes,I have: 09/06/1944 Uffz.Werner Migge shot down near Chateaudun Ju.88 C-6 9(NJ)/ZG 1 28/07/1944 Uffz.Werner Migge shot down near Evreux Fw.190 A-8 7.JG/54 1)Error or two different "guys"....and only singular coincidence? 2)In the book of Chris Goss (Bloody Biscay 1997)p.175,a photo of Ju.88 with four claims in which Migge met his death. Is'it his record, where that of another pilot...and who? no claims of Migge in the book. Thank's in advance Best Regards Michel |

Re: Uffz.Werner Migge (JG54)and Werner Migge(ZG1)
Hello,
Chris Goss has this to say in the first edition of Bloody Biscay: Appendix E - Aircraft Losses for III & V./Kampfgeschwader 40 & I & II./Zerstorergeschwader 1, July 1942-July 1944. 28 June 1944 Ju 88 C-6, 750898, 9.(NJ)/ZG 1. Uffz Werner (Horst)* Migge FF + Ogfr Hans Joachim Koehler BS + Ogfr Horst Michael BF + Crashed 2 km E of Dancey near Chateaudun. Probably shot down by Flt Lt J Howard-Williams/Fg Off F Macrae, of the Fighter Interception Unit who shot down a Ju 88 near [sic] 15 miles west of Chateaudun, 0220 hrs. See: Bloody Biscay The Story of the Luftwaffe's only long-range maritime fighter unit, V Gruppe/Kampfgeschwader 40, and its adversaries. Goss,Chris. N.p:Crecy,1997 (1st ed.) p.241 (see also pp.175 & *191) Need to check 2nd edition for updates. Col. |

Re: Uffz.Werner Migge (JG54)and Werner Migge(ZG1)
Thank you both, but Werner Migge of ZG1,credited with four "abschuss" or not?
If no,who has the score on the Ju.88 wn° 750898? Strangely, the first 3 are of the same tone but not the fourth(clearer)....perhaps recent marking? Michel |

Re: Uffz.Werner Migge (JG54)and Werner Migge(ZG1)
I have no abschuss for Migge but the aircraft he was flying when killed was flown by someone who did

Ok Chris.
So the holder of the four " victories" remains to discover. Michel |
