Re: 1st Lt Louis Werfel - DNB 24 Dec 1943 - N. Africa

Lt. Werfel and perhaps other men not of 321st BG/446th BS highly likely to have been on board the B-25 that crashed on Lion Mountain outside Oran, Algeria.

Meanwhile I received info that pilot Lt. Irving Klang's usual ship was B-25C 42-64551 and that the Aircraft Record Card says CON-CRL 12-24-43, the date of the crash.

B-25 # 551 not any more mentioned in 446th BS diaries or missions after that date.
