Fairey Battle F was L5436 of 142 Sqn (from other photos of the same location).
Regarding P2959, other photos seem to show it uncoded:

P5238 looks the same, although the code could be faded:

#1727 looks like P2332 of 12 Sqn, shot down on 12 May 40.
All three crew were made POW.
