Dornier - 8 Oct 1939

Good morning

Can anyone please identify a Dornier flying boat shot down on 8th October 1939 in the North Sea?

Also we’re there any other Luftwaffe losses as a result of a softie on 8/9 October to attack RN heavy units in the North Sea?

Cheers

James

Leo needs to repeat his geografi lessons. It is Rudkjøbing in Denmark.

Hi James,

only 1 of these losses (Ju 88 of 3./KG30) was caused by enemy fire.

Don't know about Leo and his geography, but he is in this case only quoting the website listed.

Since I was pretty certain the place was not in Sweden but in Denmark as well you saved me the time to check it out, so thanks Jörn
Always a problem when spelling is wrong....

Re: Dornier - 8 Oct 1939

Hello Stig,

you are right, I have only quoted a website. Looking at the website "Airwar over Denmark" (www.flensted.eu.com) the mistake was avoidable.

Leo
