Were Luftwaffe crash investigations / POW photos saved anywhere?
Hello,
Does anyone know of modern-day German organizations that would have saved or have in their collections the enemy aircraft crash reports filed by Luftwaffe investigators? I am looking for Luftwaffe reports for the crash of Mag the Hag II, a B-17G from the 92nd Bomb Group that went down at Neustaedt, Germany on Sept 13, 1944. I am particularly interested in any photos taken of Mag after she crashed. The Missing Air Crew Report (8882) for this aircraft includes the KU rpeort, #2943. I would also like to find the POW photo taken of the ship sole survivor, Sgt. George F. Clark. Thanks, Ray |
