Hungarian He 46 in 1941 on the Eastern Front?

Has anyone seen any information in English on the Hungarian Heinkel He 46 during his service on the Eastern Front in 1941. Hungarians had sent one squadron equipped with the aircraft but the other two equipped with WM-21.

Regards,
Mirek Wawrzyński

The information you're looking for is available, in English, in the 1st volume of my book, 'From Barbarossa to Odessa'.

Re: Hungarian He 46 in 1941 on the Eastern Front?

Hi
I have obtained several photos of this plane in Hungarian service, I think from 1941 in Russia (????). I well know all well know avaiable English sources printed in the last 15 or so years, :-)
Of course there are very fragental information about this particular plane.

Yes I know, and have too, both volumes of your books Denes. You in fact done very well written books. It is rater pity, that about Hungarian service on Easter Front you had wrote only to about mid August 1941 (I know the reason). Later period was also interested.
Second, it is pity that there are in both volumes very small fonts (this is obvious too). Anyway books are value for money :-)

So, I thought, that it the last few year something new, especialy devoted short reccon Hungarian unit or particular about He 46 was edited supplemented to 3-4 English books about RHAF.

Regards,
mw

Squadron Signal Books in USA have published 'Hungarian Air Force' by George Punka in English ISBN 0-89747-349-3.

Pages 48 onwards cover Short Rage Recce Aircraft such as the He 46.

The same author also co-authored with Gyula Sarhidai and Viktor Kozlik;

'Hungarian Eagles' from Hikoki Publications - ISBN 0 9519899 1 X

It is also in English and covering the He 46

Thanks , I have both, :-)
I am interested to find the places, where the He 46's units had stayed in Russia in 1941. Second maybe something about Hungarian short reccon units in 1941 had been edited, so could be possible to indetifaied the places where these planes were based.

Regrads
