Re: Crecy Do 17 Corrections
On a purely random note if anyone else is thinking about buying this book - I bought it very recently and it’s an absolutely superb piece of work and well within the very best of the Crecy publications.

Thanks Si-let us hope the Do 217 is similar (but that will not be out until 2022)

Re: Crecy Do 17 Corrections
Chris,
Just a short note to thank you for your research and writing this important volume. Santa left a copy under my tree and it is much appreciated given the weather here is cold, grey, and rainy - it is the perfect companion! Looking forward to the 217 volume. Cheers, David

Most kind David. Ball is already rolling on the 217 but you will not see the end results for 18 months

Re: Crecy Do 17 Corrections
Will the 217 volume have handling reports (not by Eric Brown), manufacturing analysis, engineering comparison with the Ju 88 etc.?

Re: Crecy Do 17 Corrections
Jukka: I do have the RAE reports which I will consider using but my books are always "in combat" and I leave technical matters to those who are much better qualified than I. The late Manfred Grehl was the best so far

Re: Crecy Do 17 Corrections
I recall reading Griehl's Do 217 book (as published in English by Airlife) years ago and it was really bad. Not a single test report was reproduced, no reproductions from RLM technical meetings etc.

Re: Crecy Do 17 Corrections
Jukka-I repeat what I say in my previous post-I write about in combat & leave the technical niceties to those with greater technical knowledge than me to write such a book
