Whitfield62, send me a mail. I am currently stationed less than 20 km from the crash-site and could check if I can find it in the next few days. Danny

Hi,

Do you have the exact crashtime?
I have two Nightfighters who possible shot down this lanc.

Uffz.Weiner 2./NJG3 at 1.17 hour it was his 1e victory.

Uffz. Gottfried Schneider 3./NJG3 at 1.38 hour it was his 4e victory.

Whitlield, the aircraft crash site today is under an interstate, but a friend of mine has found parts of this Lancaster on both sides of the road. If you are interested, I can put you in contact with him. He has quite a large collection of information on this crash. Danny

Danny, mate that would be fantastic, it's all been a mystery for such a long time. I would be interested in finding out as much as possible. Yes do put me in touch with your friend. Liam
