Location identity for eBay photo of I./JG52 line-up late 1940-early 1941

Hello,

Great Jabo photo here from I./JG52 from late-1940, early 1941:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_2499wt_1209

The seller's caption about date and location is completely wrong. Does anyone recognize the time and location for this photo? Pihen/St. Inglevert during Nov. 1940, or maybe Abbeville in Feb-March, 1941?

Who has a fix on this one?

Regards,

According to Goran/F19Gladiator over on the LEMB here:

"the same photo was published on page 89 in Barbas 'Die Geschichte der I.Gruppe des Jagdgeschwaders 52' where it is captioned as probably taken at Coquelles, France, in 1940."

Kind regards

Peter,

Thanks. I'd missed the LEMB reference, although I suspected that there might be one. I do have the Barbas book in my library, but this photo was not yet in the EOE Luft. DB.

Regards,

hum hum. I am afraid that the caption is wrong. I./JG52 posted in Coquelles up to october 1940. Some trees to the left have not leaves on them. Photo certainly did later.

The road and the background is not familiar for me. Now Coquelles AF is a part of Cité Europe commercial center
