Westfeldzug of May 1940 - Air Corridors
Hi,
I have a quick query on the width of air corridors allocated to the four Jagdgeschwader, namely JG 77 (northern flank of the German front, along the Franco-Belgian border), JG 2 (northern flank) JG 27 (central), and JG 53 (southern flank), during the Fall Gelb, Case Yellow, to support the German army dash towards the Atlantic coast between 10 and 21 May 1940. I think that a 15 - 20 km would be about right, perhaps even 10 km, but if someone has more precise info, that will be great. I remember seeing a map with graphic presentation of these air corridors many years ago on the LEMB, and I saved it, but cannot find it now. Any assitance in the matter will be highly valued. Regards, Sinisa |
