Stoppzug

I have a report of an He 111 aborting a flight owing to "Schaden am Stoppzug".

None of my dictionaries helps in identifying the damaged part. Does anyone here know what it was?

Googling the word, I've found images of various cables which seem to be associated with tractor engines but I've no idea what they do.

Re: Stoppzug

Seems to be related to the fuel injection system.

No 18 in the image is labelled as "Überfettung und Stoppzug" so that may be related to the very rich fuel mix the Jumo used for take-off power. If they can't cut that off then it would burn fuel like hell and quickly overheat.

EDIT: could also be a system to stop fuel injection if the engine has to be shut down
