Identification needed: 15th AAF 'Liberator' crashed in Bulgaria
Can someone help identifying this 15th AAF 'Liberator' crashed in Bulgaria? Nothing else is known (to me).
I think 49th BW, 461st BG, could be a possibility. Thanks, in advance.

Re: Identification needed: 15th AAF 'Liberator' crashed in Bulgaria
Hello Denes,
I may be wrong but the greater photo of this B24 has been shown on this forum in an earlier post. There was some discussion but I forget the result. So perhaps that thread can be of some help. Two of the 461BG a/c down in Bulgaria on 22/07/44. One was 41-29362, the second is not generally known but I have it as 44-41120. All the best Alex |

You're right, Alex. The thread is located here: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...=B-24+bulgaria
I completely forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me.
