Picture of Roberts Stack as a pilot

dear all

movie stars and WWII aircraft..........

Did you know that Robert Stack, the actor from the 50's and 60's who played Elliot Ness on the original Untouchables, was also a pilot during WWII ?

I know that there exists a picture of Robert Stack with Paul Miller (Paul was pilot who flew 96 missions of the Pacific front with 35th Fighter Squadron "The Black Panthers" then flew P38 in Europe with 364th Fighter group):

if by chance somebody had such picture of Robert Stack together with Paul Miller ??

Thanks

GC

Re: Picture of Roberts Stack as a pilot

This is the info that I am finding on him from various websites.

During World War II, Stack served as an Aerial Gunnery Officer and gunnery instructor in the United States Navy.

Re: Picture of Roberts Stack as a pilot

You're talking about the filming of 1948 movie " Fighter Squadron" , Stack in role of Capt. Stu Miller . You can find the movie on youtube .
Full story of the filming in Airpower , May 1978 .

Robert Stack played the part of Captain Stu Hamilton, not Stu Miller.

Col.
Right , Airpower was not flawless and it is a wrong caption with picture of Stack in the P-47 cockpit . Seton I. Miller was the screenwriter .
