Fw 190 V1, WNr 0001, FO+LY, Two Pitots?

While checking the Classic Publications books this morning I have noticed something that was escaping my attention previously -
the presence of what seems to be a second pitot tube or some kind of the "probe" on the port wing leading edge - exactly opposite side of the standard pitot, with "X" shaped rods on it's end. Can anyone explain what it is?

It is visible in this photo of Fw 190 V1, WNr 0001, FO+LY shot in Bremen factory in January 1940:

Thank you,
Milos

Logstange. For testing / calibration of Pitot/static system, giving (more) exact measurements on speed - that can be corrected to pressure (Hpa) and temperature. I do not have scematic drawing at hand, maybe some has it. Often seen (and referred to on Ju 88´s in testing. Connected to recording device (?!)

Thanks so much Ed. Very helpful information. It's the only place I have ever seen (or better say noticed) such installment on the single engined aircraft. Will put this info in my small, new Fw 190 related database and will keep it there for future & will try to search further. Unfortunately I personally don't have much material about Twin Engined aircraft (including Ju 88) so will have to relay on internet but hope it will return some results.
Best,
Milos
