Forum posting issue - Ed West
Due to a computer glitch and change to my e-mail address (the old one no longer works), I have re-registered and am now posting as edwest2 not as edwest. This means my "alter hasse" status is gone and my posts need moderator approval now. How long before I can post immediately as in the past? I'm fine with following the rules, I just want to know how it works.
Best, Ed West |

Re: Forum posting issue - Ed West
Five approved posts and then everything works as normal.
It's an anti-spam precaution — we get several spammers trying to register every day. The Five approvals policy means they can be got rid of before you ever see them. |

Re: Forum posting issue - Ed West
That is good to know. I have a couple of posts that appear to have gone missing in action. I assume they are still in the queue waiting for approval?

Ahh 5 approved posts. This helps a bit. Wish I would have found this earlier. Thanks.

Re: Forum posting issue - Ed West
Hello Ed,
Just read your post. I too seem to be having problems posting. Tonight I responded to one of my own posts. Got a message that it would be posted into the forum after a moderator has approved it. I too am noted as an "Alter Hasse". Seems to mean nothing? Alex |

Re: Forum posting issue - Ed West
Well that went through immediately ?
BUT, My other post still does not show, Perhaps it is because it is about armyairforces.com closure date ? |

Re: Forum posting issue - Ed West
I've no idea why approval was needed on that thread (I don't do tech support) but I approved one of your posts and deleted the other because it looked like a duplicate of the first. You can talk about the possible closure of armyairforces.com all you like, as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Forum posting issue - Ed West
Hi Nick,
Thanks for the responds. Probably my fault Sometimes I press the keys twice in error. I understand that when that is done there must be a time lapse before the second can be posted ? Alex |

Re: Forum posting issue - Ed West
Hello Nick,
No its not my finger trouble. I just tried to post it again Got same moderator clearance notice. This is what I tried to post " Hello, armyairforces.com will close down on December 1st. In future a link to view the forum can be found on the heading page of the Heritage League forum site". Alex |
