Seeking info on career of Hptm Gerhard Schaschke, Gr Adj of ZG76 - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum

Hello,

For EoE profile purposes I'm seeking info on the when Hptm Gerhard Schaschke took over as Adj of ZG76, flying the Bf110C or D. There are records indicating that he held that position in early 1941, but there was a photo of him on eBay during 2012 that indicated in the caption that he was in the position by mid-September, 1940. However, his career records are silent on the subject of when he first became Geschwaderadjutant. Does anyone have any records of his overall career, and that provides confirmation of the date on which he assumed his Adjutant role with ZG76?

I'm also trying to determine the BF on this crew during the summer-fall of 1940. Does anyone know that?

Hello,

I now believe that Schaschke succeeded Oblt Wilfried von Eichborn, the ZG76 Gesch Adj shot down and POW over England on 27.09.40. Can anyone confirm this?
