Identification of B-24 air crew interned in Sweden
B-24 42-52118, 448th Bomb Group, 712th Bomb Squadron,(Picadilly Pete) was damaged by flak during a mission over Germany on 9 April 1944. The aircraft crash landed in Bulltofa, Sweden. The pilot was 2nd Lt. Vincent E. Liedka. I am trying to find the names of the other crew members and when they were returned to their unit. The MACR number is 3659. A search on Fold3 did not find this MACR. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks, Bill Martin |
