Color Film Footage of 109, Mistel & He 162

Very interesting color film footage of a crashed 109, including a view of the instrument panel:

And a captured Mistel & He 162:

Re: Color Film Footage of 109, Mistel & He 162

Hello Eric,

Thanks for the great links! The pictures are amazing. This is the first color photo/movie of a Me 109 K-4 instrument panel I have seen. It shows the late war short Fl 23334 compass and the construction of the auxiliary panel with the ZSK244! The He 162 in color is also unique! It shows nicely either the primer color of the wodden landing gear doors or bare wood. I am sure where these pictures were taken, there is even more. Hope it will appear as well in the future.

Regards
Roger Gaemperle

Re: Color Film Footage of 109, Mistel & He 162

Dear Eric,

Thanks so much for your pointer to this extraordinary movie exerpt on the crashed Me 109 K-4 "White 3" and "White 8".

Some stills were published already in the JaPo publication on the Me 109 K-4, as well the Kagero publication on the Me 109 G - K.

Recently, a discussion was started on those two late war Me 109 K crashes on LEMB board, with some stills scanned for our benefit. In this discussion (see link below), Jerry Crandall was the first to point towards the movie you just kindly indicated us.

As a genuine late 109 buff, i will never be able to thank you enough for your link. This colour footage is a REAL gem!

Marc

In case some of you don't know it, you can save all those Youtube movies to your harddisks and play them back at will and make good screendumps (stills), using Keepvid and the free FLV player available at

http://keepvid.com/

Just save the movies with a .flv extension.

Regards,
Jan
