Re: Lt Niklas Helmut of NJG 1

Thanks for the reply.
He was from the II/NJG 1 (Brustem, Belgium) in may 1942. I don't know when he changed from NJG1 to NJG 3.

Re: Lt Niklas Helmut of NJG 1

He was with 6/NJG 1 and his Bf 110 E-2, Wk Nr 2654 coded G9+GP is photographed in Price's book 'Battle over the Reich' after crash-landing at St Trond 31 May 42. His BF was Uffz Wenning at that time.

He had shot down 2 Wellingtons that night and his next kill was not until 26 Jul 43 with Stab I/NJG 3 (B-17). He then got 2 bombers at night 22 Sep 43 (with 6/NJG 3) and a B-24 8 Oct 43 (still with 6/NJG 3)

Re: Lt Niklas Helmut of NJG 1

Thanks!!! I'm doing some research about one of his victims of the 30/31 May 1942!
Did he shot 6 or 8 aircrafts? I've the 2 of 30/31 May 1942. Can anyone give me information about the Bombgroups or squadrons of his other victims, please?
Greetings from Belgium!
