29th April 1941 - combat over Maidston Line

Hello,

I am searching for information about who (which Luftwaffe unit) was the enemy of no. 306 squadron on 29th April 1941. The combat took place over Maidston Line (railway line, as far as I understand) between 18.10 - 19.40.

It was described in no. 306 sqn ORB as follows:
Ordered to patrol Maidstone Line at 30,000, when at 26,000' Squadron saw 4 Me.109s at about 32,000' to the right. Two Me.109s imediately dived for France, possible as decoys. The Squadron began to climb, to get upsun of the other E/A but they also dived for France. Sgt. Kosmowski fired a short burst at extremely range at one Me.109 but makes no claim. Sgt. Machowiak was attacked from astern and his aircraft was hit in the tail, fuselage and wing.

Are there any names of German pilots who made claim against the damaged Hurricane of Sgt Machowiak or who was damaged by Sgt Kosmowski?

I am afraid Germans didn't claim damaged aircraft

In looking through the book 1941 The Turning Point part 2 by John Foreman there are claims from III/JG2 -2 and III/JG53-1. It is possible one of these claims could be the damaged Hurricane.

From what I remember the claims in Foreman's book do not match time-wise

That is what I meant. A badly damaged Hurricane might have been reported as destroyed one by a German pilot.

The III/JG 2 claims were apparently by Oblt Werner Machold of 7 Staffel 2 Spitfires north of Eastbourne no time given. The III/JG 53 claim was by Oblt Friedrich Karl Müller unconfirmed at Dungeness no times given. Then you have 3 claims by 7./JG 51 1012-1035 hrs off Dunkirk/Dover. According to John Foreman the JG 2 and JG 53 claims were at 1615 hrs (where he got that from I do not know). Nothing matches with 1810-1940 hrs
