6/7 Jan 1945 Flak or night fighter
Hi there all,
I’m currently investigating events surrounding the Hanau raid on the night of the 6/7 January 1945. The information I have to date is very patchy, mostly gleaned form the Australian archives. Kew Archives are less than keen to show me the MREU reports for that mission. Does anyone have any information about Luftwaffe night fighter activity or flak activity round Hanau on that night? I’ve been told the Luftwaffe removed all the crashed aircraft after the raid. Any Luftwaffe information about these crash sites gratefully received. Cheers Captain_M |
