Hampdens friendly fire incident September 1939

Hi guys

I've just read an account on a website that mentioned Hampdens coming under AA fire as they approached Liverpool and landed at Speke and Hooton Park, circa 3-5 Septmber 1939. Apparently at least one was damaged and a crew member wounded.

Can anyone confirm this and provide further details?

Cheers
Brian
