Stukas (?) on 10 July 1940

The Luftwaffe geared up for the Battle of Britain by attacking shipping in the Channel on 10 July. Among the first casualties was the old WWI destroyer HMS Wren.

Does anyone know which units/aircraft were credited with the sinking of the Wren?

Thanks

Peter D Evans is on a distinguished road
Acording to "The Blitz, Then and Now" [page.121] for Wednesday July 10th 1940:

"Principle action of the day took place over the Channel off Dover in the early afternoon when the west-bound convoy "Bread" came under heavy attack. This resulted in losses involving captured German Aircrew"

- Do17Z serving with 3./KG2 coded U5+FL
- Bf110C-2 serving with 8./ZG26 coded 3U+GS during an escort mission for Dorniers serving with I./KG2 attacking the convoy "Bread"

Hi
The book Battle over britain records :-

First recorded JU-87 attack on a convoy was 1st July on convoy 'Jumbo' off Plymouth by III / St.G.51.

First recorded destroyer loss was HMS Brazen sunk by aircraft off Dover, 20th july, attacked by DO-17's and BF110 bombers ( LG 1)
