JU 88 A-4 B3+ DT 9./KG 54

The above aircraft was shot down on 16th May 1944 near Alton in Hampshire. According to official records it was caught by searchlights and then shot down by a night fighter. All 4 crew were killed. Would anyone have details of any RAF claim made for this bomber?

Many thanks,

David

If it survives, it should be downloadable from the National Archives AIR 50 series of files.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the information. The ADIK report lists it as being DT, although records from III./KG 54 list it as BT!

Re: JU 88 A-4 B3+ DT 9./KG 54

The whole crew perished so the remains of the aircraft were probably shattered. Therefore it would be easy to confuse between a B with a D.
