think the I is actually an F with part of the F hidden by poor pic, when I am 100% I will post again.

Since the aircraft obviously came down on Sicily during some offensive attack, I would say it shows an aircraft from 830 Sq, which continued to use 767 Sq codes after it was formed from said unit on 1 July 1940.
I don't think it is L2817 since that aircraft was re-coded T4R (according to Air Britains FAA 1939-45 book), but how certain that statement is I don't know. Said book has no fate for L2817, so....

Indeed Faenor

As far as I can judge 84 Sq received a rather substantial batch, L1378 to 1393, but to state which one is far more difficult....

Those which are abvious are L1379, L1391, L1392 and possibly L1390

Perhaps I should have been more clear in my answer.
When 18 Swordfish from 767 Sq was transiting through France in June 1940 it arrived to Bône on 19 June 1940.
12 aircraft went to Malta and these 12 became 830 Sq on 1 July 1940.
The remaining six was met up and landed on HMS Ark Royal on 20 June and were offloaded at Gibraltar on the 22nd and taken back to England on the 25th.
767 Sq was officially reformed at Arbroath 8 July 1940.

Most likely the individual who made the drawings was not aware that in Sep 1940 the unit had been renamed 830 Sq and that said unit continued to use the old 767 Sq code for a while.

All this are in the eminent Air Britain books about the FAA units and aircraft.

Cheers
Stig
