COWLES, Maynard L., KIA March 3rd, 45

Hi All,

a friend of mine in France is looking for any detail of Pilot above, especially what caused the failure of his P-47 and led to his death.
Cowles flew with 378th Fighter Squadron.
Probably shot down by FLAK but not sure.

Any details would be interesteing. This also because my friend own a little planne and logbook shows some entries of Cowles.
Thanks in advance
Rolf
