Fabio RAF is on a distinguished road

Born of the association
During 2001, “Romagna Air Finders” members legalized association’s aims with a regular notary act. The logo depict a shield with in the upper side a spade ace, on the lower side a swallow and all around some objects remember the town of the RAF’S founder, the “fuso” for Fusignano, the fishes for Conselice, the horse for Lugo (as for the WWI hero Francesco Baracca) and finally, a Lighthouse for Portomaggiore (near Ferrara).
Particular meaning about the image in the middle of the shield, cause it was dedicated to the squadrons of the firsts two pilot recovered : Spade Ace for the young pilot Hans Joachim Fischer, belonging to the former Luftwaffe JG53 Pik As.
Swallow for the british fighter Spitfire recovered in Spazzate Sassatelli, near Conselice, with the remains of the Scottish pilot Leithc Douglas Mc Kenzie, 72¡ Squadron RAF.
Until today, RAF members claim 10 recovered planes, plus many others crash point of other planes, bomber included. The association’s main aim is the pity to the fallen soldiers, and the recovery of WWII items that will be put in a public museum, giving to the young generation a way to think about war’s horrors, especially about WWII,a war that italian people suffered for many years, leaving a deep sign in our country fate (1940-1945).
So, not only plane are intersting to recovery, but also other relics, that can be showed to the public and referred to the “Gothic Line” complex.
Part of the relics recovered are showed in Fusignano di Ravenna, Armandi square, and the exposition has been visited by more than 33.000 peoples, schoolclasses included.
A second museum is planned in the next future. All the relics from the recoveryes are released and certified by militar authorityes.
