Uffz. Kurt Graf, JG 51

Hello all,

Uffz. Kurt Graf, a member of 7./JG 51 with at least eight victory claims was shot down and killed in aerial combat near Osaritschi on 24 January 1944. Does anybody have the usual loss data (such as subtype and WNr. of his Fw 190A, tactical code, possibly more accurate location...) for this pilot? Many thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Uffz. Kurt Graf, JG 51

Could he have been shot down by Kapitan Artamonov, from 177 GIAP who claimed a Fw 190 aboard his LaGG-5? Do not know WHERE this Russian ace claimed his victory tough...
Yours
Adriano

Nikolay Semenovich Artamonov
24Jan44 FW-190 Panchevo

I assume that Osaritschi (?) is near Smolensk. On the map I found Ozeretskoye which was N of Smolensk and Pan'kovo which is SE of Smolensk.

NOKOSE, many thanks for pointing out the place of Artamonov's claim. From the information you sent it seems Uffz Graf was not his victim.
Thanks
