May 23, 1932 Marine Corps Parachute Incident

Can anyone confirm Lt John Calvin Munn and Capt William Jennings Wallace bailed out of a Vought O2U-4 Corsair when "

Plane caught fire. Dateline May 24 and 'yesterday'. Leaped into sea a mile off Loma over the Pacific Ocean. Wallace (pilot) suffered severe burns to hands and face, Munn (passenger) was slightly burnt. Both treated today at Naval Hospital. Wallace was taken on board the cruiser Salt Lake City with rushed to the scene when the plane into flames, and Wallace rescued by the cruiser Louisville. which was near by. The plane fell into the sea and sank."

Believed to be A-8341 can anyone confirm please
