Nachlass Rudolf Küting

Hello,

Currently on ebay is the Nachlass of Rudolf Korting at:

ebay.de/itm/Fotos-Tagebuch-Uffz-Rudolf-Kuting-Pilot-FFA-25-Feld-Fliegerabteilung-25-Flugzeug/223935449349?hash=item342397c905:g:wv8AAOSwaJFeXru 8

However, contrary to the sellers information FFA 25 appears improbable. The pages of the diary would appear to indicate a training unit in Feb - March 1918 long after FFA 25 ceased to exist. Some of the photos may be of interest however. The variety of aircraft shown would however, appear to be inconsistent with any one unit.

Has anyone any thoughts on which unit Rudolf Korting actually served with? Does the postcard give the address as the Bomber Lehr-Anstalt, Frankfurt and der Oder? Or

Also mentioned under the Agenda fur 1918 among others Albatros C.I 640 and 655.Again, assuming both of these are /15 likely evidence for a training unit.

Regards,

Clint

No idea who this guy was or where he served, but out of interest why do you change his last name to Korting instead of Küting?

I find his name hard to read except on the last two envelopes, where at least I read Küting rather than Korting

Cheers
Stig

Stig,

Thanks for the reply. Why indeed? I completely agree it is Rudolf Küting.
