It would be interesting to know if the observer Ltn.d.R Fritz Kampfenkel cme from Kiel. There is an entry at Ancestry.com, but I'm not inclinded to sign up.

Currently on ebay is a photo of a DFW C.V with an intriguing 'Blitz' marking at:

Is anyone aware of the unit that operated this unit? The seller is the same as for the item in the post above and is also offering a photo of a member of FA (A) 228, so it may again be a machine from that unit at;

Date 18 July 1918? What then is the extra 3 doing in front?
Is one of the guys Fw Julius Hawlik or not?
