Re: German night fighter top aces by plane

Hello Michael.
What scores do you have for each in your list?
Where did you get the info for Modrow, Krause and Becker?
Thanks
Peter

Re: German night fighter top aces by plane

Hello Peter,

thanks for your interest. Here you go:
  • Bf 110: Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer, 121 night kills in that type
  • Ju 88: Heinrich zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, likely 83 night kills in that type
  • He 219: Ernst-Wilhelm Modrow, 33 night kills in that type according to forum member Szymon (Gizmo)
  • Me 262: Kurt Welter (dubious score): 25 night kills in that type
  • Bf 109: Kurt Welter: 23 night kills in that type
  • Fw 190: Friedrich-Karl Müller: 19-22 night kills in that type
  • Do 217: Johann Krause: at least 17 night kills in that type according to David Williams
  • He 111: Günther Bertram: 14 night kills in that type
  • Me 410: Johann Trenke: 12 night kills in that type
  • Do 215: Ludwig Becker: 6 or 7 night kills in that type according to an old wikipedia entry
Can you tell me if Sayn-Wittgenstein ever scored in another aircraft type than the Ju 88 ?

Michael

I don't know in which order Becker made his kills or how many he did, never took an interest in his other kills just focused on Do 215 kills.
