Trying to ID "Gefr Morzinek" of I. or II./JG2 from Oct-Nov 1940 time period

Hello,

For the EoE Project we're trying to ID the full name and unit of the above Gefr Morzinek, who is known to have been flying in I./JG2 or possibly II./JG2 during the fall of 1940. Who knows his full name and Staffel?

Regards,

Larry Hickey

Re: Trying to ID "Gefr Morzinek" of I. or II./JG2 from Oct-Nov 1940 time period

Jim,

Thanx. This looks like an excellent bet. Ideally, I'd like a reference to him during Oct-Nov, 1940, when he was flying out of Le Havre. He was apparently flying an a/c with an "8" (White 8+-?) during this period.

Anybody else got a reference to him closer to the fall of 1940?

Regards,

17 November 1940 Uffz Willi Morzinek (4./JG2) . His logbook reports escort of Bf 110 to attack Southampton.
On 30 November, flight over Portland area.
In JG2 history vol I by Erik Mombeeck and Jean Louis Roba, Chris Goss.
Maybe more in the logbook.
ps : Larry, please check your mailbox
