Captured Spitfire IX Luftwaffe

Has the previous identity of this captured Spitfire IX ever been determined?
Here are two pictures

Re: Captured Spitfire IX Luftwaffe

The Spitfire in question cannot be T9+EK since this was a Spitfire XI, which was a photographic Spitfire. This Spitfire is clearly a fighter version with the armament removed.

Also, the second Spitfire looks more like a Spitfire IX because of the exhaust stacks.

Re: Captured Spitfire IX Luftwaffe

The second Spitfire...a Mk V would have the small oil cooler under the left wing, not the large radiator.

Re: Captured Spitfire IX Luftwaffe

Hi
The second photo was on the old lemb website
The canopy is a replacement as the framing is strange,
also some Mk V's had the later exhausts fitted, so it still has a possibility of being a Mk V
cheers
