Good evening,
It is WNr. 170071 of III/EJG 2 that was found on the east side of the A6 autobahn running through the Hofoldinger forest. Note the gravel path parallel to the highway. best regards, Jim

Interesting photo. It looks to me like the entire nose section might have been a replacement, as the front part appears darker than the rest of the airframe.

Good morning,
That darkness is not seen on the starboard side of the nose so I suspect what we see is the result of the blast effect of the grenade and a resulting fire in the engine nacelle. Jim
