Re: Bockl...Boeckl...Bockel JG26/JG7
Correct is Böckl, where there are two dots above "o" (umlaut). If your keyboard has not such letter, correct is Boeckl.

Re: Bockl...Boeckl...Bockel JG26/JG7
Hi Michel,
Foreman & Harvey, Combat Diary, (1995), p.108 and p. 370 ascribe a claim of a Mustang to a Fw. Boeckel of III./JG 7 on 23.12.44. (Umlaut in text.) best regards, Jim |

Re: Bockl...Boeckl...Bockel JG26/JG7
According to Johannes Mathews Albert Böckl claimed 11 victories of which one was not confirmed (a B-17 on 13 April 1944)
His claim on 24 Feb 1944 was a P-47 Otherwise the Caldwell list is correct and also the added claim taken by Karoband from the Foreman/Harvey book Cheers Stig |

Re: Bockl...Boeckl...Bockel JG26/JG7
So!I know understand the "history" of the keyboard!
Its score must be revised downwards, many of its claims are unfounded. Thank you B.Regards Michel |

Re: Bockl...Boeckl...Bockel JG26/JG7
If you have a desktop PC, to get German letters, hold down the Alt key and enter the numbers on the number pad on your right.
Alt 0223 = ß Alt 0228 = ä Alt 0246 = ö Alt 0252 = ü Alt 0196 = Ä Alt 0214 = Ö Alt 0220 = Ü and if you are quoting from the British ULTRA messages in DEFE 3 you will need: Alt 156 = £ |
