Stab/Flak-Regiment 59 Paris June 1942
Am I correct if I said that Stab/Flak-Regiment 59 was covering the French capital in June 1942 - which I see had been formed from Stab/Festungs-Flak-Regiment 31 one year earlier ?
As light flak was fired at Beaufighter C-Charlie when departing from performing 'Operation Squabble' on 12 June 1942 Thank you for your time and consideration Andy Bird |

Re: Stab/Flak-Regiment 59 Paris June 1942
Stab/Flak-Rgt. 59 was in Paris in November 1942 and August 1943, but those are the earliest dates I have for its location. However, Stab/Festungs-Flak-Rgt. 31, which was also commanded by Oberst Theodor Herbert, was at Le Mans in August 1940. By 26 Nov 40, Stab/31 had relocated to Montfort-sur-Risle/46.5 km SE of Le Havre where it came under Flak-Brigade VII.
